If you're not growing, you're dying! Through altar calls and intentional discipleship in the Christian faith we offer our people many opportunities for learning and growth.
Courses are advertised in the Sunday notices. If you require further information regarding a course, please contact the Church Office at 011 900 1503.
We believe that the best way to grow in faith is in a small group with fellow believers. We offer a number of groups catering to different levels of knowledge and different age groups in different areas. We especially encourage people to join small groups during sermon series.

For those who are willing to journey a little deeper into their faith, Bible Study 101 provides an opportunity to explore the origins of scripture. Understanding the background of the Bible can make a difference in terms of how we live our faith and understand God, which challenges us theologically and spiritually.
The next Bible Study 101 course will start on Thursday 30 July at 19h00 in the youth hall, and will run for seven weeks, excluding the session on Revelation. A six week course on Revelation will follow from 17 September until 6 October, with a break on 24 September. For more information watch the notices, or contact the church office.
Disciple is a 34 week Bible study course which aims not just to impart information but also to transform the participant. During the course group members undertake to do 30-35 minutes of daily homework, attend a 2.5 hour weekly small group session and to read 80% of the Bible during the year. It is a serious commitment for serious disciples willing to make a serious commitment to serious growth for one year.
A brief history of God's unfolding promise to mend the entire universe. This Friday night and Saturday course, based on a book by Daniel Erlander, takes us on a whirlwind tour through the Old and New Testaments in which we meet the God of the Bible who is present and active in human history and all creation.
This dynamic programme helps Christians understand who God has uniquely made them to be and helpd to mobilise them to a place of meaningful service in the Church. Participants also learn the biblical nature and purpose of the Church as the body of Christ and the unique importance of each members' contribution. The course runs for six weeks.

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The program's approach seriously considers the model of Christ's servanthood and encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways appropriate to being "a servant of all."
The Walk to Emmaus experience begins with a 72-hour short course in Christianity, comprised of fifteen talks by laity and clergy on the themes of God's grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship, and what it means to be the church. The course is wrapped in prayer and meditation, special times of worship and daily celebration of Holy Communion.
The "Emmaus community," made up of those who have attended an Emmaus weekend, support the 72-hour experience with a prayer vigil, by preparing and serving meals, and other acts of love and self-giving. The Emmaus Walk typically begins Thursday evening and concludes Sunday evening. Men and women attend separate weekends.
Walks take place in March, September and October. Chrysalis is the teenage version of the Emmaus Walk. For more information please contact Dot Johnston on 082 667 5950.

We encourage members of our church to read widely, and for that purpose have a collection of Christian literature available for members to borrow.
New books, especially when they are used as the basis for a sermon series, are regularly added.
The library is ideally situated in the passage next to the coffee shop and we invite you to come and browse to expand your mind and spirit!
